Mental Health Facilitator Training

The Clinical Director of SCCS is a Master Trainer candidate for the Mental Health Facilitator (MHF) training program. This program was created by the National Board for Certified Counselors – International, a division of the National Board for Certified Counselors, in collaboration with the World Health Organization.

The MHF program seeks to provide foundational helping skills training and education to paraprofessionals, laypeople, and professionals from outside of the mental health field, such as teachers, support staff, home visitors, parents, and coworkers, who may be more likely to be in contact with someone experiencing mental health struggles.

There are several curricula available, two of which can be trained in as little as one day. There is also a Train-the-Trainers curriculum for extensive training needs. For more information and to request a training, please visit:
